Pilates for Every Body: Why I've Made Affordability a Core Value

I want to be upfront about something: my rates are significantly lower than most other Pilates studios in the area and that's entirely intentional. It's not a temporary promotion, a new-instructor discount, or a sign that something is missing. It's a philosophy.

The Truth About Pilates Pricing

Pilates has a well earned reputation as a luxury practice reserved for a certain kind of clientele. High-end studios with premium price points and a limited slice of the population who can comfortably afford regular sessions. I understand how the economics work and I'm not here to criticize anyone else’s business model.

Most Pilates studios in Santa Fe charge around $95 for a private reformer session

But I got into teaching Pilates because I genuinely believe it benefits everyone, not just those with the budget for high-end wellness. The core principles of Pilates: spinal health, body awareness, functional strength, breathing…these aren't luxury benefits. They're things every person deserves access to.

Experience, Not Inexperience, Behind the Pricing

I've been teaching Pilates for over a decade. I bring a depth of knowledge that comes from years of working with diverse bodies, varied fitness backgrounds, and a range of goals and limitations. My pricing isn't low because I'm new to the field and building a client base; it's low because I've made a deliberate choice about who I want to be able to walk through my studio door.

My background extends beyond Pilates too. Experience across multiple disciplines (barre, kettlebells, TRX, and cross training/calisthenics) informs how I teach, how I cue, and how I adapt sessions to meet people where they are.

Accessible Doesn't Mean Compromised

I want to gently push back on the assumption that price reflects quality in this industry. What you'll get from me is thoughtful, experienced instruction in a welcoming environment without the financial barrier that keeps so many people from ever getting started, or from maintaining a stable practice.

Pilates works best when it's consistent. And consistency is much easier when the cost doesn't force you to weigh it against other priorities every week.

An Invitation

If you've been curious about Pilates but assumed it wasn't in your budget, I'd encourage you to take another look. Santa Fe has many wonderful Pilates studios, and I'm proud to be an option that makes this practice accessible to more of our community.
